2009 CECA/CASL Conference

We had a great CASL pre-conference workshop at the Marriott on Sunday and a wonderful day for the CECA/CASL conference at the Connecticut Convention Center on Monday. I enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new colleagues. People snapped up all of the AASL Standards for the 21st-Century Learner IN ACTION books and Standards for the 21st-Century Learner reference brochures. Friedman Calls for 21st-C Learning!

If you haven't read Friedman's article in Wednesday's Oct. 21st New York Times Op-Ed, you should.


It's a call for 21st Century learning: "So our schools have a doubly hard task now--not just improving reading, writing and arithmetic but entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity."


Awesome and powerful. Let's hope people listen. We need leaders for the Innovation Age.
